Community Advisory Board
The Third Root Community Advisory Board is currently being built! Cooperative members at Third Root are well aware that the neighborhood around Cortelyou Road is changing, and that often in New York, the long-time members of a changing community are disregarded or pushed out. To work against this dynamic, and ensure that we are accountable to the community, we are building a Community Advisory Board made up of residents who have lived in the area at least 10 years, are involved in the community, and have some interest and/or experience with social justice, health, and healthcare.
We hope to have the first board meeting this winter, with community members advising us on how to reflect the needs of the community to a greater degree through our staff, programs, services, herbal inventory, and more.
