Angela earned her Oriental Medicine degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, in New York. She is a licensed acupuncturist and a certified herbalist. While at PCOM she participated in a clinical externship at St. Vincent’s Cancer Center. She began her herbal studies in Colorado at the Rocky Mountain Center for Botanical Studies where she developed an earth-centered approach to clinical medicine. Angela’s interest in preserving indigenous medicinal practices led her to study Mayan natural healing with local healers in Belize.
Angela is passionate about using medicine and healing derived empowerment to promote community awareness and social justice. Angela incorporates the use of acupuncture, Chinese and local plants, tui na body work, aromatherapy and flower essences in her treatments. Her compassion and belief in the mind-body connection fosters deep healing on both the physical and emotional levels.
“I infuse Chinese medicinal practices with intuition and compassionate energy work. I feel that it is important to address the emotional components to our physical aliments and recognize the interconnection that exists there. Being a strong woman and mother lends to an experienced and supportive practice in women’s health concerns and fertility. I enjoy treating orthopedic injuries and use body work alongside acupuncture and herbs to facilitate recovery and maintain functionality.”
