Exhale to Inhale (ETI) is a non-profit organization that uses the healing practice of trauma- informed yoga to empower survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. The ETI approach is based in choice-making, safety, and simplicity.
Beginning on Sunday, April 7 through May 26, Third Root will be hosting weekly ETI trauma-informed yoga classes. These classes will create space for trauma survivors to reconnect to their bodies and their ability to make choices for themselves.
Everyone is welcome and anyone can benefit.
Classes are offered on a sliding scale, $5-25. Contributions will go towards supporting Exhale to Inhale programming and Third Root.
Jaclyn Spector completed her yoga teacher training in the Fall of 2016 and starting volunteering with Exhale to Inhale in 2018. Jaclyn has a passion to combine yoga with her full time work as a Social Worker.A few years into her practice, she began to see that yoga is much deeper than a physical practice. Yoga is the practice of connecting and staying present with the breath. Jaclyn has been through her own healing process and used yoga as a main tool of recovery. The breath helped Jaclyn unite and balance her mind and body. She learned to stay present on her mat and carry that into her every day life. Jaclyn holds a safe space within her yoga classes for each individual to continue on their personal journey of self care and self discovery.
