Event Details

This event finished on 09 September 2018

Exhale to Inhale (ETI) is a non-profit organization that uses the healing practice of trauma- informed yoga to empower survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. The ETI approach is based in choice-making, safety, and simplicity.

Beginning on Sunday, July 22 through September 9th, Third Root will be hosting weekly ETI trauma-informed yoga classes. These classes will create space for trauma survivors to reconnect to their bodies and their ability to make choices for themselves.

Everyone is welcome and anyone can benefit.

Classes are offered on a sliding scale, $5-25. Contributions will go towards supporting Exhale to Inhale programming and Third Root.

Sarah Yurch began her yoga journey as a stressed out grad student studying literature in New York and has been in love with her practice ever since. She completed her 200
hour teacher training with Deborah Hanekamp at the Namaste Yoga Center in Brooklyn and has since taught in New York, Miami, and Costa Rica. As a survivor of domestic violence, she is deeply honored to share the practice of trauma- informed yoga with others. Yoga was instrumental in her journey to find peace and calm in her own body, and she strives to create a nourishing class environment for all of her students. Off the mat, Sarah works in book publishing.
