Exhale to Inhale (ETI) is a non-profit organization that uses the healing practice of trauma- informed yoga to empower survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. The ETI approach is based in choice-making, safety, and simplicity.
Beginning on Sunday, Sept 1 through Sunday Oct 27, Third Root will be hosting weekly ETI trauma-informed yoga classes led by Megan Prasad. These classes will create space for trauma survivors to reconnect to their bodies and their ability to make choices for themselves.
Everyone is welcome and anyone can benefit.
Classes are offered on a sliding scale, $5-25. Contributions will go towards supporting Exhale to Inhale programming & Third Root.
Paola Franchesca Volquez was born in the city of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and was raised in New York. She was first introduced to yoga over 10 years ago through community based yoga classes. As her practice progressed, she developed a desire to share her knowledge, particularly with children and communities with limited access to yoga. Paola completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training with Three Sisters Yoga in New York City and she is in the process of finalizing her children’s yoga certification with Asana Alphabet.
As a social worker she is passionate about empowering people and being of service to others. Yoga has enabled Paola to create harmony in her life. She seeks to inspire others to thrive and cultivate physical, emotional and spiritual wellness both on and off the mat.
