“Play Is The Work of the Child” -Maria Montessori
“Simon Says” Hide n’ Seek, Hopscotch, Mother May I?…. This list may sound like it’s all fun and games, but play helps kids learn a whole host of skills: body & spatial awareness, how to get along with others, and how to problem-solve are just the tip of the iceberg!
Third Roots Youth Yoga Classes aim give kids the chance to learn valuable new skills through fun exploration. Your young yogi will play with different methods that yoga affords us to: gain mental and physical strength, cultivate balance, and foster flexibility.
As they gain these skills they’ll also be gaining confidence, the ability to face their fears, all while developing positive relationships with their own bodies, as well as tools for mini-meditation and self-regulation. They’ll work on all of these things with friends, developing more empathy and compassion for themselves, as well as others.
