StephanieÂ discoveredÂ yogaÂ over ten years ago on an old auditorium stage in Ohio, and has been cultivating that seed of practice ever since. She is inspired by the ways that stretching and opening the body and breath calms the mind, creating space and awareness from inside–and how this can guide us to see the world from a healthy, balanced, and steady place. A lighthearted and compassionate teacher, she makes her classes a space where every human being can feel good and practice living joyfully.Â StephanieÂ is 500-hour certified through ISHTAÂ YogaÂ in New York City with teachers Alan Finger, Mona Anand, Sarah Platt-Finger, and Jean Koerner; she also holds a Restorative Yoga certification.
StephanieÂ graduated from Wesleyan University, where she studied Dance and East Asian Studies, focusing in Gender Studies. She has performed domestically and internationally as a professional dance artist and continues to create her own work.Â She loves dark chocolate, sunshine on her skin, and all kinds of movement, from climbing to martial arts to deep relaxation.
