We’re located at ground level with one step up to our main entrance and no steps at our wheelchair and scooter accessible entrance (please call ahead to arrange for someone to open the door). Our Community Room space where most programs occur is accessible for wheelchairs & scooters, as is our upstairs private treatment room. However, our bathroom is not currently wheelchair or scooter accessible. As a stop gap measure, accessible restrooms are available to our community across the street from the nearest intersection at Flatbush Food Co-Op, 1415 Cortelyou Road.
Please note that scented oils and products are sometimes used as part of the modalities we practice, especially massage and herbal medicine. Third Root is never scent free – but our community room where yoga, community acupuncture, events, and workshops take place is low scent, though organic dried herbs may be burned to energetically clear spaces between sessions and classes. Treatment rooms have air filters regularly in use throughout the day. Our cleaning products are natural and scent-free whenever possible. We have simple filter masks available on request, but encourage those who may need a mask to bring your own.
